The legislative decree n. 116 of 2020 has introduced the requirement of environmental labelling on the packaging, which must be: “properly labelled according to the relevant UNI technical standards, and complying with the decisions of the EU Commission.
The aim is to facilitate the collection, the reuse and the recycling of the packagings, and also to properly inform the consumer about their final destination. Moreover, the producers must indicate the nature of the packaging materials, in order to identify and classify them, according to the resolution 97/129/CE of the Commission.”
